Private Security Patrol

Based on requests from residents, the Historic Boston-Edison Association has contacted Dusing Security and Surveillance (DSS) to provide a security patrol in the Boston-Edison neighborhood.
How the Program Works:
- The cost per residence is $30.00 per month.
- DSS will patrol the Boston-Edison neighborhood a certain number of hours per week.
- Patrol hours are based on the number of subscribers. The more residences that pay, the more hours DSS will patrol.
- For example, in order to patrol the streets of Boston Edison for 40 hours a week, we would need 150 residences to pay $30.00 a month.
- DSS will charge individual residences directly for the patrol service.
- Dusing Security invoices directly at $30/month x 3 month subscription = $90. There are NO CONTRACTS. When your payment is received, you will be considered a paid subscriber.

Services that YOU would receive for subscribing:
- During every shift, DSS would spend a significant amount of time near your residence.
- If you get home late at night while DSS is on duty, you can call for the patrolperson to escort you to your home.
- If you are out of town, DSS will keep an extra eye on your residence (pick up papers, call you if there is unusual activity at your home, etc).
- During the patrol shift, if an alarm occurs at your house, DSS will respond: not to replace the police, but as an extra set of eyes and ears.
- If you have or want a monitored security system, DSS will provide the 24-hour alarm monitoring service to you at NO EXTRA CHARGE! Instead of paying two monthly fees, you pay DSS $30.00 a month to receive 24-hour alarm monitoring AND personalized patrol service.
Only subscribers receive these benefits.
DSS Credentials:
- Opened for business in October 2001.
- Currently provide same security services in North Rosedale Park (since 2002), Historic Indian Village (since 2003), West Village and Berry Sub.
- Employees are fingerprinted, drug tested and screened thoroughly.
- Full service security company-Service/Install security systems in homes and businesses; provide 24-hour alarm monitoring; camera systems; intercoms; etc.
- Licensed and Insured.

We are currently at 60 hours per week of patrol. Each new subscriber helps us to increase our hours. If you have already signed up at the Spring General Meeting or have phoned in your interest ... THANK YOU! We could still use your help. Speak with your neighbors. Host a block club meeting. Security we will be glad to attend for Q&A.
