Built in 1917 by lumber magnate Nels Michelson, the iconic Motown Mansion in Detroit's Historic Boston-Edison Historic District has hosted everyone from politicians to movie stars. Berry Gordy was the fourth owner of the 10,000 square foot mansion. And while it won't be featured on the soldout Boston-Edison Holiday Home on Dec. 9, it will open its doors for the preview party on Dec. 8.
